Newsletter May 2008

This month has been one of our busiest in the four years we have been trading! We’re entering the summer with a briliant new client base as well as maintaining existing relationships.

We have also taken on a new member of staff after she did a three month work placement with us before Christmas. Amy Gregory is now with us for two days a week and we still have Alex and Colette too although sadly they are both nearing the ends of their work experience placements. They will be missed but will no doubt be a great asset to any future employers.

 Loving That Gift.com

#Loving That Gift is one of our fantastic new clients. The online boutique store houses a selection of handmade products including personalised cards and presents, ideal for birthdays, weddings and Christenings etc

Most recently they have designed a range of products for Father’s Day such as a glass tankard that can be personalised and a lovely cork notice board.

We have launched a campaign targeting national baby and women’s press in order to get their merchandise in the public eye before Father’s Day!

At Promise we are a big fan of the personalised items as they can be treasured forever!

The director of Loving That Gift.com also owns Pots2Go, a ceramic café in Harrogate which offers pottery painting in a variety of venues. It’s a super place to go for a leisurely visit to create your personalised works of art no matter what age you are.

 Catalyst Strikes Back…

catalystThere’s nothing more rewarding than clients returning as it proves that we are good at what we do and even better at maintaining relationships even when contracts have subsided and now Joanne Murphy of Catalyst Coaching is back on the Promise PR scene. Jo is a lifestyle and business coach who helps busy managers when they are most stressed and need to take a step backwards. Most recently she has devised an E-Book detailing 7 steps to help busy managers new to their role. She came up with this idea after attending the Yorkshire Business Insider’s Economic Forum. We have managed to get Jo into a variety of marketing, business and local publications and we have no doubt she will remain as pleased with our work as she has been in the past!

 Thai Boxing Security Guards!

securityNetwork Securities are another of our new clients. They are a large company based in West Yorkshire offering security services throughout the UK. One of the large features recently has been an article about Glen and his passion for Thai Boxing.

Network Securities are supporting the local sporting community by sponsoring and helping to coach a young, local Thai Boxing British champion, Stuart Kemp. In his spare time, Glen is a Thai Boxer and Coach, keeping his fitness levels high and stress levels low. He also part-owns the gym in Armley where the majority of the training takes place.

We are currently managing a birthday party for Network Securities on the back of the absolutely fabulous launch party we managed at Croma back in March. As usual we will get our team of photographers on board alongside all the local press to ensure maximum publicity.

 Wine tasting at Croma

croma

We look forward to inviting Etta Cohen and the Forward Ladies networking group to a wine tasting session to be held at Croma on 12th May. The session will include complimentary food tasters followed by a wine tasting talk from Croma Director Nick Mc Nally, who is something of a wine expert. This way we get to indulge in the mouth-watering gourmet food whilst bringing new clients into Croma’s stylish restaurant, they would be mad not to go back!

Business Network celebrating 1st Birthday!

#Renowned networking group, The Business Network, has recently celebrated its first birthday under the ownership of successful Selby-based entrepreneur Caroline Coward.

Caroline currently has 65 members and wishes to take the membership base to 100 over the next 12 months.

We have generated stunning coverage surrounding this event and wish Caroline the best of luck with her recruiting mission, something we will no doubt be lending a helping hand with.

Message from Lucas

Possibly the most important member of the Promise PR & Design team is Lucas.

Lucas’ marketing tip of the month is:

‘Be brave ’

Be brave, pick up the phone and ring your local press to find out what sort of news releases they want to receive from you. You need to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with your local media in order to send them releases they will be interested in and this is the first step to a beautiful relationship between you and your local press.

From all the team at Promise PR & Design Ltd
