  Cuisine fit for the Queen

african queenPromise is proud to announce their new partnership with African Queen Cuisine, Leeds’ first African Caribbean restaurant.

Situated in Harehills, the restaurant will be opening in October under the direction of young female entrepreneur, Sinclaire Tchatchouang. Sinclaire grew up in Cameroon, West Africa and grew up sampling the gourmet delights of her grandmother’s home cooking.

Dishes not to be missed include Curried Goat and Jerk Chicken.

We will be responsible for managing the launch in October, hosting the journalists and ensuring the evening runs smoothly. Having already had coverage in the Yorkshire Post’s Food & Drink supplement, this is an account we are feeling very positive about!

The Beat’s still Going On for Limehouse

#Limehouse Films recently came to the end of their contracted period of PR but have decided to continue with our services. As usual we are delighted to retain happy clients, especially ones with so much going on!

Avram Grant, Creative Director of Limehouse Films, has recently collaborated with the National Museums Liverpool in what can only be known as one of the greatest music exhibitions of all times. The Beat Goes On showcases Liverpool’s musical talents from the 50’s to the present day, including juke boxes and memorabilia from the Beatles to Atomic Kitten.

Avram has always been involved in the music scene, going to the same school as Paul McCartney and George Harrison. He is a devoted fan of the 60’s Merseybeat era, and in the 70’s and 80’s he designed band logos and flyers for the new wave of Liverpool bands.

  New Appointments at Godloves

godlovesGodloves Solicitors are proud to announce two new appointments, Howard Dapin and Stephanie Pennington. Howard is to head the Wills, Trust and Probate Department and Stephanie will be working underneath him to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the practice.

We have secured Godloves coverage in Northside, the Jewish Telegraph, The Leeds and Yorkshire Lawyer, J-Life, The Yorkshire Evening Post, The Business Desk, the Leeds Business Update, The Lawyer Magazine and Pick Up Newspapers, and as a result have some very happy clients!

Your chance to Shine at Shrine

Through our established contacts at local lifestyle magazine, Absolute Leeds, we arranged a competition in their August edition for one lucky reader to win a days’ worth of pampering at Shrine Spa in Headingley.

We were a little disappointed when we didn’t win but fair’s fair! Some of the treatments on offer include multivitamin power regenerating therapy, men’s skincare treatments, prescriptive facials, nourishing sea mud masks, spa manicure & pedicures and hot stone therapy with full body massages – not bad!

  Passionate about positive thinking?

#As part of the David Lloyd Leeds PR campaign we are managing for the premier health & leisure club we have seen Miles Halstead, Sports Manager at David Lloyd Leeds, featured in the prestigious Yorkshire Post business pages. Interested in hypnotherapy and with his own Lifestyle studio, Miles is certainly a busy man. Positive thinking is central to his beliefs and you certainly come away feeling energised and much more enthusiastic about the week ahead after speaking to him!

The health and fitness centre boasts an extensive range of facilities and classes and has an exceptional family friendly environment, with a children’s pool and children’s classes.

And the outdoor pool is one that everyone must take advantage of!

Huddersfield high-flyer joins Promise

The newest addition to the Promise team is Vicky McIntosh. Vicky is studying Fashion Manufacture Marketing and Promotion at the University of Huddersfield and is pleased to be on board at Promise during her placement year. Having had garments selected for university and regional fashion shows we knew Vicky must have had an eye for detail and we were right, she has so far proved to be an asset to the team.

MD on maternity leave

Promise MD, the infamous Emily Carrie, will be back from maternity leave soon, after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. Handing over the reins to Amy Gregory for a few months, Emily is not one to disappear from the limelight for long and will soon be back with Lucas (and Poppy) in tow.
